Office Hours and Rent Payment Changes

Hello!

We hope this message finds you well. We are writing to you regarding two important changes and kindly request that you read through to the end of this letter.

  1. Beginning October 1, 2024, our public office hours are changing. We will be open to the public on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8:30 AM – 5 PM. These are the hours that you can come by our office located at 7 E Fairchild Street for any purpose. On Mondays and Fridays, we will not be open to the public, however you can still reach us at the office with questions and if you are in need of assistance. Our office number is 217-274-7089.
  • In August, we notified you via email regarding changes to how we will accept rent payments in the future. We have made further adjustments to this, which are highlighted in yellow. To streamline our billing process and enhance security, we kindly request that you make your rent payments online rather than by paper check or money order. Our hope is to fully transition all our tenants paying online by January 1, 2025. Paying online offers several advantages:

    Enhanced Security: Online payments reduce the risk of lost or stolen checks and help protect your financial information. Recently, there was an incident involving stolen checks from mailboxes of property management companies across Danville, including ours. Criminals are fishing checks out of mailboxes (and USPS drop boxes) using sticky adhesive on a string. They are then whitewashing off the names on the checks and making them payable to themselves and cashing them. Paying online eliminates this risk entirely.

    Convenience: You can make payments anytime from anywhere, eliminating the need for trips to the post office or dropping off checks. Our portal accepts eChecks, credit cards, debit cards, and electronic cash payments. So that you still have a free option for paying your rent, Zindars Property Management will cover the online eCheck fee, making it free to all tenants to pay online by check beginning January 1, 2025. You will see this reflected in AppFolio when you process your payment.

    Faster Processing: Online payments are processed more quickly, ensuring that your payment is received and recorded promptly.

For those who continue paying by paper check or money order: Zindars Property Management will be implementing a convenience fee of $10 per check or money order beginning on January 1, 2025.


To get started with online payments, please log in to your tenant portal at https://zindarsproperties.appfolio.com/connect/users/sign_in and follow the instructions for setting up and making payments. If you have not yet registered for the tenant portal, please use the following instructions:

1) Visit https://zindarsproperties.appfolio.com/connect/users/sign_in

2) Click on “Need to set up an account?”

3) Fill out the form and click “Request Access.”

Our team will be in touch quickly with your account information. You can also download the Online Portal by AppFolio App to your phone for convenience.
